News from BEMAS - France
Maintenance Society
12.09.2004.
Maintenance in the Boardroom
Bemas, the Belgian Maintenance Association, organises twice a year
an event called ‘Maintenance in the Boardroom’. This initiative
emphasises the strategic importance of maintenance in a company.
Corporate key icons share their visions on the impact of maintenance
in their company and explain the strategic considerations and
choices made.
This is a must-attend event for CEOs, Plant Managers and Maintenance
Managers at a management level. CEOs get acquainted with the vision
of a successful fellow CEO, and learn how to keep a Belgian
production site competitive. Maintenance Managers learn how to
better understand the CEO's way of thinking, and discover the long-term
visions of the CEO and their implications on maintenance. This event
truly joins the two worlds. It is an unique opportunity to actively
network with your peers and discover how they have tackled the same
sort of challenges you are facing on a daily basis.
On September 30th 2004, Mr. Jan Van den Bergh, CEO of Degussa
Antwerpen NV explained his vision on Maintenance in a Belgian based
plant operating in a global economy.
He talked about:
- His Ambition Statement: ' To become Degussa's best production site
! '
- Which has been the role of this ambition in obtaining an
investment of no less than 350 million euros?
- What are the challenges for the CEO and the Maintenance Manager in
a changing industrial environment?
- What are the key strategic choices in manufacturing and
maintenance management to achieve this goal?
You can find more information on this event and many other things on
the renewed Bemas website. Now available in Dutch, French and
English. Go to www.bemas.org
